So I built this robot platform a year ago and had
no knowledge of programing. So this Year I learned programing with the
basic stamp Boe bot class. I finished that and I remembered I had this
robot platform I had not used and so I started thinking about a next
robot have could use this frame. I build the eyes out of bottles and
ping pong balls with LED's stuck inside. They give a nice effect of eyes
:). I glued two IR sensors and IR LED's on the front sheet of
plexiglass. I bought a board for the Robot platform the problem was it
would turn on every time you put a battery in and every time you wanted
to turn it off you'd have to yank the 9V battery out, so I got some 9V
connectors from a old plane crash alarm and wired it all up so I can
just flip the switch to turn it on/off. Tell me what you think! Update July 30, 2012 I added a video today!
Update August 2, 2012 I added another new video of it now done and running about! YAHOOO! came across a problem tho.... the left servo is
having some speeding up and slowing down problems oh well i think its
just a cheap brand of servos.... you might be able to see it in the
video
Update september 12,2012 I added a new video. Cris the carpenter (on
Letsmakerobots.com) thinks I put the sound chip in backwards so I have
to buy a new one :p.
Update september 19,2012 i bought some stuff off ebay for wobot
4X motors (bigger wheels too) (found out they are to weak for wobot) 1X 16X2 LCD screen some wires 5X sonar units 1X mega!!! (yeah!) 40X male headers 1X Arduino Prototype Shield 1X L293D 1X another sound chip and a webcam to share wobot on the Robot Partys! (maybe 27th) Update September 14,2012 I bought a plug to mach my battery pack and did some other stuff but you will have to wait a little bit to see it :p
